La Laja natural pool works suspended due to sea conditions
The Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City Council has announced a temporary suspension of dredging, cleaning, and sanitization works at the La Laja natural pool complex. The decision is due to predicted sea conditions and the strength of the Mareas del Pino, which pose safety risks for the machinery and operators.
Despite the pause in construction, the pools will reopen to the public during this period. The works, managed by Bluematt Ingeniería Subacuática SL with a municipal investment of 130,177.57 euros, are scheduled to resume on September 14 and continue until October 5 to compensate for the technical stoppage.
