Political shifts occur in Argentina's LLA and Bolivia's Libre party

Political shifts are occurring within La Libertad Avanza (LLA) in Argentina and among the Libertad y Democracia (Libre) party in Bolivia.

In Argentina, several internal changes have been reported. Solana Marchesán has left LLA in Pilar to join the Consolidación Argentina space. In Zárate, Oscar Ahumada’s departure from the party has caused friction, with party members describing his exit as unilateral and driven by personal grievances. Meanwhile, in Río Negro, the appointment of Antonella Ritacco as head of the Migraciones delegation in Viedma signals a restructuring of LLA’s federal presence. In Chubut, the Libertarian Party has announced support for Omar Lattanzio for the Mayoralty of Comodoro Rivadavia and is working toward a strategic alliance with Governor Ignacio Torres.

In Bolivia, Deputy Rafael López is facing calls for resignation from his own party, Libre, following a controversial televised interview in which he appeared to be in an inebriated state. While departmental leaders demanded he step down from his position as parliamentary leader to preserve the party’s image, López admitted to the error of taking the call during a family gathering but refused to resign, claiming he has the support of 80% of his caucus. The Santa Cruz Parliamentary Brigade has formally rejected the calls for his resignation, backing López and urging party unity.
