Argentina 2027 elections: Peronism and La Libertad Avanza in technical tie

A national poll conducted by Synopsis between August 10 and 18 shows a technical tie between Peronism and La Libertad Avanza (LLA) for the 2027 presidential elections, with 35.7% and 35.5% voter intention, respectively. While the margin is narrow, 60.2% of respondents expressed a desire for change compared to 35.6% favoring continuity of the current government.

In the province of Salta, La Libertad Avanza is working to consolidate its local structure through initiatives like the first Liberal Athenaeum to provide ideological training to its members. Meanwhile, in Córdoba, former UCR legislator Rodrigo de Loredo revealed he rejected an offer from La Libertad Avanza to serve as a deputy. De Loredo stated he is focusing on his candidacy for the governorship of Córdoba to unite non-Peronist opposition forces.

Other political groups in the national poll included the Left at 7.1% and the PRO at 6.1%. In a potential polarization scenario, the combination of Peronism and the Left reached 42.8%, while the PRO and LLA reached 41.6%.
