La Llosa gas leak caused by accidental pipe rupture

A significant gas leak occurred on Carrer de les Orquídies in La Llosa after workers accidentally ruptured a pipe during remodeling construction. The incident took place around midday, near number 6 of the street.

Emergency services, including three units from the Bombers de la Generalitat, responded to the scene. Due to the high pressure of the escaping gas, authorities instructed nearby residents to close all doors and windows and remain indoors. Local police also cordoned off surrounding streets to prevent pedestrians and vehicles from approaching the leak.

The gas supply company acted quickly to section the circuit, reducing the intensity of the leak before it was fully closed shortly after 1:00 PM. No personal injuries were reported, and the gas supply to nearby single-family homes was not interrupted. This follows a previous incident at the same construction site where a water pipe was also broken.
