La Maddalena to refund Segis Srl following payment error

The municipality of La Maddalena has approved a refund of 3,588 euros to the company Segis Srl following an erroneous payment. The error occurred after the company made an additional bank transfer that exceeded the remaining balance owed for legal expenses related to a previous administrative dispute.

The dispute originated from a 2017 ruling by the TAR Sardegna, which had ordered Segis Srl to cover legal costs totaling 4,377.36 euros. While a partial payment of 3,588 euros was recorded in May 2023, leaving a residual debt of 789.36 euros, the company mistakenly transferred the full original amount of 4,377.36 euros again in March 2026. This resulted in an overpayment of 3,588 euros, which the municipal administration is now rectifying through official administrative measures.
