La Matanza firefighters acquire new flame-resistant rescue gear

The La Matanza Volunteer Firefighters have acquired new Fire Crow multipurpose coveralls designed to enhance safety during rescue operations. This specialized flame-resistant clothing provides industrial and operational protection against short-term thermal exposure from fire, which is a critical risk during structural collapses, vehicle accidents, and residential fires.

The new gear features an ergonomic design with high visibility, including reflective strips on the back, knees, and legs to ensure safety in low-light conditions. The coveralls are designed for mobility in tight spaces, featuring gussets in the armpits and back, and include specialized pockets for radios, flashlights, and essential hand tools. This acquisition is part of an ongoing effort by the local fire stations to modernize equipment and improve response capabilities in highly populated areas such as Ramos Mejía, San Justo, and Lomas del Mirador.
