La Matanza launches free skin cancer prevention campaign for children

The municipality of La Matanza has launched a health initiative titled “El bronceado pasa, el daño queda” to promote sun protection and dermatological examinations for children. The campaign aims to prevent skin lesions and future oncological pathologies associated with ultraviolet radiation exposure.

From Monday, November 2, to Thursday, November 5, medical professionals will provide free clinical examinations and professional advice at the Hospital del Niño de San Justo. Specialists will examine moles and skin spots on children while conducting educational talks on the harmful effects of UV radiation and the importance of healthy habits from an early age.

Services will be available from 8:00 to 11:00 hours on a first-come, first-served basis, and the sessions will proceed regardless of weather conditions.
