La Molina–Surco tunnel project lacks state funding

The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) has clarified that the La Molina–Surco tunnel project will not be funded by the state budget. Instead, the project must seek viability through ProInversión.

Former La Molina mayor and municipal candidate Juan Carlos Zurek stated that the project is currently at a standstill. He criticized current Mayor Uceda for suggesting the project was moving forward, noting that Minister Rafael Rey did not grant a meeting to the mayor's team to avoid political appearances regarding the unfunded initiative.
