La Natividad-La Dolfina wins Hurlingham Open opener
The 2026 Argentine Triple Crown polo season has commenced with the Hurlingham Open at the Asociación Argentina de Polo in Pilar. In the opening match, the La Natividad-La Dolfina team, boasting a perfect 40-goal handicap, secured a dominant 26-3 victory against La Aguada.
La Natividad-La Dolfina debuted a new alternative jersey featuring white, green, and blue filigree. The design was inspired by the Argentine national football team's kit used during their World Cup semifinal against England. Captain Adolfo Cambiaso noted the design was an idea from his sister to honor the national team.
The Hurlingham Open serves as the first stage of the Triple Crown, which also includes the Tortugas Open and the Argentine Open in Palermo. This year's tournament structure features eight teams competing in a direct elimination format, starting with the quarterfinals.
