La Notte della Taranta Orchestra to perform in Athens

The Orchestra Popolare La Notte della Taranta is scheduled to perform at the Athens Concert Hall on Saturday, October 31. The event brings the rhythms of Salento, Italy, to Greece, featuring the traditional pizzica dance and music.

The performance highlights the cultural connections between Greece and Southern Italy, as many songs are performed in Griko, a dialect spoken in the Grecìa Salentina region. The event is co-organized by the Ministry of Culture, the Italian Embassy, and the Italian Ministry of Culture.
