La Orotava opens scholarship applications for municipal nursery school

The La Orotava City Council has opened the application period for scholarships to attend the Elisa González de Chaves municipal nursery school. The program is designed to assist families with monthly tuition costs for the 2026/2027 academic year, spanning from September 2026 to August 2027.

The municipality has allocated 100,000 euros to support this initiative, which aims to facilitate access to early childhood education and promote work-life balance for local families. Mayor Francisco Linares stated that the administration is committed to ensuring equal opportunities for children, particularly those facing economic difficulties.

Eligibility is limited to children between 4 months and 3 years old who are registered residents of La Orotava. Interested families can submit applications through the municipal website under the subsidies section.
