La Palma allocates 60,000 euros to support local artisan sector
The Cabildo de La Palma has announced a 60,000 euro budget to provide subsidies for the operating expenses of local artisans and craft businesses on the island. The initiative, managed through the Craft Service, aims to support the commercialization, modernization, and competitiveness of La Palma's artisanal products.
Applications must be submitted by October 6. The subsidies will be awarded through a competitive process, covering up to 80% of approved budgets with a maximum of 1,500 euros per applicant. The funding is intended to cover expenses incurred between April 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026, provided they are paid before April 30, 2026.
Craft advisor Susa Armas stated that the aid is designed to alleviate the burden of daily workshop operating costs for individual professionals and help them continue producing and marketing their work.
