La Palma Cabildo owes 24.5 million euros to municipalities

The Partido Popular (PP) has reported that the Cabildo de La Palma owes more than 24.5 million euros to the island's 14 municipalities. The party claims these funding delays create financial uncertainty for local governments and may hinder the delivery of essential services.

PP representatives have criticized the gap between the investment announcements made by the island government, led by Coalición Canaria, and the actual arrival of resources. They noted that municipalities are often forced to use their own funds to maintain services while waiting for promised transfers. The party is calling on Cabildo President Sergio Rodríguez to provide a detailed status of the outstanding amounts and establish a specific calendar for the transfers.
