La Palma expands La Dehesa elderly residence with 59 new places
The Cabildo de La Palma is expanding the La Dehesa elderly residence by adding 59 new places. The project involves the renovation and adaptation of the facility's second and third floors.
This infrastructure improvement is funded by the Next Generation EU Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, which has allocated over 13 million euros to develop various sociosanitary infrastructures in La Palma. The expansion is part of a broader strategy to increase the island's social and health care capacity, which includes the upcoming opening of the El Paso residence, improvements at the Hospital de Dolores, and a new modular residence near La Dehesa.
