La Palma hosts rallysprint competition and hiking festival

The island of La Palma is hosting various regional events, including the 7th edition of the Rallysprint Encanto Rural and the 18th International Hiking and Mountain Festival.

Organized by El Muro Racing, the Rallysprint Encanto Rural will take place on October 16 and 17 in Puntagorda. The event will utilize the original technical six-kilometer stretch between Puntagorda and Pino de la Virgen. Following the cancellation of a scheduled event in La Gomera, this race will serve as the season finale for the regional, provincial, and island rally championships.

Additionally, the XVIII International Hiking and Mountain Festival of La Palma is being held from September 18 to 20. Organized by Sodepal and the Cabildo de La Palma, the festival offers 16 free guided routes across the island. The itineraries cater to various fitness levels and include locations such as the Tajogaite environment, the Caldera de Taburiente National Park, and various volcanic and forest landscapes.
