La Palma to host Isabel Pantoja concert and Celia Cruz musical

La Palma will host two major musical events in Tazacorte as part of its upcoming cultural programming. On September 12, singer Isabel Pantoja will perform a symphonic concert to celebrate her 50-year career. This performance, which is her only scheduled concert in Spain during her anniversary tour, will feature the Orquesta Sinfónica de Las Palmas, including approximately 50 musicians and a choir. The event is part of the tenth anniversary of the Isla Bonita Love Festival.

Additionally, the musical ‘La Cruz de Celia’ is set to make its Canary Islands debut in Tazacorte on September 27. The production pays tribute to the life and legacy of the ‘Queen of Salsa’, Celia Cruz, covering her journey from Havana to her status as a global icon. The show combines live music, theater, and audiovisual projections. This marks a significant cultural milestone for the region, as it is the first time the production has been staged in the archipelago.
