La Pampa exempts BLP debt refinancing from Stamp Tax

The government of La Pampa has officially exempted the Special Refinancing Program of the Banco de La Pampa (BLP) from the Stamp Tax. Under Decree No. 1449/26, signed by Governor Sergio Ziliotto and endorsed by Minister of Finance and Treasury Guido Bisterfeld, the exemption applies retroactively to all operations conducted since the program's inception.

To date, 940 refinanced operations have been covered by this measure, reducing the overall cost for individuals reorganizing their financial commitments. The provincial executive noted that the decision aims to support citizens facing progressive debt due to the erosion of purchasing power, which has led to increased reliance on financing for essential goods and services.

This tax relief complements the existing conditions provided by the BLP, which include market-below interest rates and extended repayment terms, to facilitate debt restructuring for those in financial difficulty.
