La Pampa opens dental prosthetics laboratory in General Pico

The Government of La Pampa, through its Ministry of Health, has officially launched a dental prosthetics laboratory in General Pico. This new facility joins existing laboratories in Santa Rosa and General Acha, aiming to strengthen the provincial health network.

The initiative is designed to decentralize care, reduce waiting lists, and improve access to dental rehabilitation for patients without social security or private insurance. According to Valeria Maza, head of the provincial Dentistry Department, the laboratory will facilitate accessibility for non-mutualized patients requiring prosthetic rehabilitation.

The laboratory is located in a repurposed space formerly used by a clinical analysis laboratory in the Barrio Federal area. Oral rehabilitation via prosthetics is highlighted as a vital tool for improving functions such as chewing and speech, as well as supporting overall well-being and social integration.
