LA PAS Festival 2026 to focus on sustainable food and culture

The sixth edition of the LA PAS Festival, a celebration of sustainable food and culture organized by the CRIES Association, is scheduled for October 9–11, 2026, at the French Institute in Timișoara, Romania.

Centered on the theme of the future of food, the artistic program includes award-winning installations, collaborative short films, theater, photography, exhibitions, book launches, and craft workshops. The festival explores how climate change, memory, and inequality affect food production, selection, and distribution.

A highlight of the opening on October 9 is the unveiling of the installation ‘SECETĂ’ (Drought) by artist Vlad-Laurean Costea. The work, constructed primarily from cardboard, depicts a landscape where water, vegetation, and color gradually disappear, serving as a contemplative space regarding the impact of climate change on agriculture and soil.
