La Patria man arrested for alleged electoral fraud

A 19-year-old man was apprehended in La Patria, Boquerón Department, for alleged electoral crimes during the 2026 municipal elections. The incident occurred at the Tte. 1º Ramiro Espínola Basic School.

Police intervention began after receiving reports that an individual attempted to vote using an identity card belonging to another person. Upon verifying the documentation, authorities confirmed the identity mismatch and detained the suspect. The individual was transferred to the Filadelfia Prosecutor's Office for legal proceedings.
