La Paz court sentences Óscar “N” to prison for sexual abuse
A court in La Paz, Baja California Sur, has sentenced an individual identified as Óscar “N” to two years in prison for the sexual abuse of a minor. The crimes took place during two periods in July and August 2015 at a residence in the Juárez neighborhood.
The investigation was launched following a formal complaint filed in 2022. During an abbreviated procedure hearing held on August 11, the defendant admitted guilt and waived his right to an oral trial.
In addition to the prison sentence, the judge imposed a fine equivalent to 200 days of salary. As part of the reparations for the victim, the court ordered that she receive specialized psychological support through the Centro de Justicia para las Mujeres.
