Expocruz and Expomina trade fairs drive livestock and mining sectors in Bolivia and Peru
Major trade fairs are underway in Bolivia and Peru, focusing on the livestock and mining sectors respectively.
In Bolivia, Expocruz 2026 is entering its operational phase. The livestock sector is seeing significant growth, with ASOCEBU reporting an increase in both cattle and exhibitors. Over 900 animals, including Brahman and Gyr breeds, are participating in competitions and exhibitions. Additionally, the La Paz Expone fair aims to reactivate the regional economy, hosting over 600 companies with an expected business intention of $50 million.
In Peru, the tenth edition of Expomina 2026 has opened in Lima. President Keiko Fujimori announced the formation of an inter-ministerial task force between the Ministry of Energy and Mines and the Ministry of the Environment to accelerate a $64 billion mining investment portfolio. The event seeks to position Peru as a reliable partner for responsible mining, aiming to convert mineral potential into regional employment and infrastructure while simplifying bureaucratic processes for investors.
