La Paz International Book Fair scheduled for July 29–August 9, 2026

Bolivia's Feria Internacional del Libro (FIL) in La Paz will run from 29 July to 9 August 2026 at the Campo Ferial Chuquiago Marka in the city's southern zone. The edition marks the fair's 50th anniversary and coincides with the 30th anniversary of the Cinemateca de Bolivia, which will host joint literary and audiovisual programmes, including conferences, film screenings and special events.

Peru will serve as guest of honour, celebrating 200 years of diplomatic relations with Bolivia. The Central Bank of Bolivia’s Foundation will also be highlighted for its role in preserving national heritage. International writers confirmed include French journalist Bruno Patino, Mexican author Guillermo Arriaga, Swedish children's‑book writer Åsa Lind and Panamanian historian Wendy Tribaldos.

The programme promises a mix of literature, cinema and cultural dialogues, aiming to attract readers, students and researchers from across the globe.
