La Paz provides free medical certificates to schoolchildren

The Health Director of La Paz, Dr. Jorge González Montaño, announced a municipal program that issues free medical certificates to students in primary, secondary and high‑school levels. The certificates are granted on presentation of basic documentation such as the CURP and are intended to ease family expenses while informing parents and schools about children’s health status for the 2026‑2027 school year.

Six mass‑certification sessions began on the same day in neighborhoods including El Salado, Valle de los Reyes, Lomas de San Isidro, Lomas de San Sebastián, Las Palmas and the municipal seat. The municipal president called on local health agencies – the DIF, health centers and the Instituto de Salud del Estado de México (ISEM) – to take part in the initiative, which aims to conduct hundreds of health checks and issue certificates throughout the campaign.
