La Paz to host Bread Festival featuring 150 varieties

The third edition of the Bread Festival will take place this Saturday at Plaza Camacho in La Paz, Bolivia. The event will showcase more than 150 varieties of bread, ranging from traditional recipes to creative innovations.

Organized by the Autonomous Departmental Government of La Paz, the Universidad de Los Andes, and the baking sector, the festival will feature over 30 stands. The program includes the ‘Miga de Oro’ competition, which features two categories: Traditional Bolivian Bread and Innovative or Creative Bread. Judges will evaluate entries based on texture, crust, preparation process, flavor, and presentation. The event aims to highlight Bolivian baking techniques and preserve the nation's intangible cultural heritage.
