La peregrina theatre tour reaches schools in Paraguay

The theatrical production ‘La peregrina. Solo se trata de sobrevivir’ has completed a tour across various educational institutions in the Cordillera and Caaguazú departments of Paraguay. Directed by Natalia Benítez and starring Aura Brítez, the play reached over 400 students and teachers.

Part of the ‘Gira Peregrina - Teatro en Camino’ initiative, the tour received support from the National Secretariat of Culture through the 2026 Culture Funds. The production aims to bring theatrical experiences to regions with limited access to performing arts circuits.

The play addresses significant social issues, including human trafficking, violence against women, and migration. It follows the story of Lola, a Paraguayan woman reconstructing her life through memory, exploring themes of identity, resilience, and family bonds.
