La Perla: Remains of worker disappeared in 1976 identified

The Argentine Forensic Anthropology Team (EAAF) has identified the remains of Alejandro Ernesto Jesús Jerez Bodereau, who was kidnapped and disappeared in 1976 during Argentina's military dictatorship. His remains were located in the La Loma del Torito area, within the grounds of the former La Perla clandestine detention center in Córdoba.

Jerez Bodereau, a former IKA-Renault employee and psychology student, was abducted on May 5, 1976, alongside his pregnant wife, Noemí Huarte. While his remains have now been identified through genetic comparisons provided by the National Genetic Data Bank (BNDG), Huarte remains missing. This identification marks the 30th person found and identified through the EAAF's ongoing work at the La Perla site, with five individuals still awaiting identification.

The search efforts are part of a judicial investigation led by Federal Court No. 3 of Córdoba. The project involves collaboration between various universities, the Forensic Anthropology Service of the Córdoba Judiciary, and local government authorities.
