La Plata, Argentina launches extensive free arts and music program

A series of free cultural events will take place across La Plata and surrounding venues. The Teatro Argentino will host a ballet performance featuring "Dafnis y Cloe," "Adagietto" and "Bolero," along with a children's choir and a Mozart string quartet later in the evening.

Various music concerts are scheduled, including an Afro‑jazz set at La Caipo, a big‑band show at Desafinado Club, and a guitar ensemble at the Sociedad Médica de La Plata. The Centro Cultural Islas Malvinas will present contemporary theater pieces and a program of Beethoven, Chopin and Addinsell works by a visiting pianist.

Additional performances include folk and rock shows at Casa Metro, a stand‑up comedy act at La Nonna, a choir concert at the Municipal Salón Dorado, and a circus‑theater mix at Plaza Azcuénaga. All events are free to the public, with many requiring online reservation.
