La Plata paint store damaged in U‑turn crash

A driver attempting a U‑turn at the intersection of 1 and 42 near La Plata’s train station lost control and crashed through the glass façade of a local paint store, embedding the vehicle in the storefront. No one was injured, but the shop’s front and inventory suffered extensive damage.

Witnesses said the maneuver is common at the busy junction and the incident prompted the driver to apologize to the store employee while the owner expressed shock. The store’s owners said they will ask the Municipality of La Plata to improve road safety, proposing a wider central boulevard and signage to prohibit U‑turns at the location.
