La Plata voters show high interest in political outsiders

A recent poll by DC Consultores in La Plata indicates a high level of voter indecision ahead of upcoming municipal elections. Approximately 34.9% of residents are currently undecided, while 51.7% expressed a willingness to vote for an outsider candidate without a traditional political background, provided they offer concrete proposals.

In terms of current political alignment, the alliance between La Libertad Avanza and PRO leads with 29.7% of the vote, followed by Peronism at 23.4%. The survey also noted a weakening of partisan identification, with 60.5% of respondents not firmly attached to any specific political brand.

Regarding local leadership, Mayor Julio Alak holds the highest recognition at 30.5%, followed by Carolina Barros Schelotto (25.2%) and former Mayor Julio Garro (24.3%). Meanwhile, political discussions are emerging regarding potential new candidates, including two prominent local businessmen being considered as alternatives to traditional political figures.
