La Pobla de Farnals Civil Protection expands team and training

The Civil Protection unit of La Pobla de Farnals is strengthening its operations through new volunteer recruitment, student internships, and specialized training. Following recent emergency interventions in Oliva and local responses to heavy rainfall, the group has added approximately eight new volunteers over the past year.

In the coming months, the unit will host 12 interns from intermediate and higher-level Civil Protection vocational programs. To ensure operational readiness, members are participating in continuous training programs, including a Basic Civil Protection Course provided by the Valencian Institute of Public Safety and Emergencies (IVASPE) in Godella. This curriculum covers essential skills such as emergency management, first aid, fire intervention, search and rescue, and crisis psychology.
