La Poste experiences nationwide IT outage in France

La Poste, France’s national postal service, experienced widespread service disruptions across the country on Tuesday morning due to an IT incident. The outage, which began around 8:30 AM, prevented customers from purchasing stamps, sending parcels, and processing registered mail at physical branch locations.

The technical failure was attributed to a software update performed during the night between Monday and Tuesday. While branch operations were heavily impacted, La Poste confirmed that online services and banking ATMs remained functional throughout the incident. Technical teams worked to resolve the issue, with systems reportedly being restored by midday.
