La Poste reduces validity of online printable stamps to six months

France's postal service La Poste announced that stamps purchased through its Mon Timbre en Ligne online service will be usable for only six months from the date of purchase. The change takes effect on 16 September 2026 and applies solely to printable stamps ordered via the online platform; stamps bought in post offices or tobacco shops remain unlimited.

Stamps bought before the rollout will stay valid until 16 March 2027, after which they cannot be used, exchanged or refunded. La Poste explained the measure aligns the service with current user habits and improves processing reliability. Each online printable stamp costs €1.49.
