La Pueblanueva health center renovation tender announced

The Government of Castilla-La Mancha has issued a new tender for the renovation of the building that will house the new health center in La Pueblanueva, Toledo. The project has a budget of 664,288.39 euros. This new bidding process follows a previous attempt that was declared void, which had stalled the project to replace the municipality's current outdated medical facilities.

The renovation will transform a former school building into a modern facility covering more than 650 square meters. Designed by the Castilla-La Mancha Health Service (SESCAM), the project includes two floors and an elevator tower. The ground floor will feature two family medicine consultation rooms, two nursing rooms, a multipurpose room for emergencies and extractions, administrative areas, and a waiting room. The upper floor is designated for healthcare staff residence, including three bedrooms, a kitchen, and a living area.

The construction period is expected to last five months. The new center aims to serve more than 2,300 users in the Basic Health Zone, providing improved access through a main entrance on Malpica Street and a separate emergency access point.
