La Punilla SRL expands production with CFI financing

La Punilla SRL, a family-owned dulce de leche manufacturer in San Luis, has expanded its production capabilities following a 40 million peso credit from the Consejo Federal de Inversiones (CFI). The funding allowed the company to transition from liquefied gas to a natural gas connection via a 90-kilometer pipeline from Merlo. This infrastructure upgrade addresses previous production issues where winter temperatures caused a 50% drop in output due to freezing gas.

The company currently produces between 180 and 200 tons of dulce de leche per month, distributing products across 11 provinces under three brands, including the premium label ‘Pampas Argentinas’. During a recent visit to the plant, Governor Claudio Poggi met with the company's leadership. The Cattana family has presented a new investment plan totaling 150 million pesos intended for growth over the next four years.
