La Rábida Iberoamerican Studies Awards call for research entries

The Universidad Internacional de Andalucía (UNIA), the Grupo de Universidades Iberoamericanas La Rábida, and the Fundación Cajasol have announced the call for the XVIII La Rábida Iberoamerican Studies Awards. The awards aim to recognize research excellence among faculty and postgraduate students within the universities that comprise the La Rábida Group.

The competition features a total prize pool of 18,000 euros distributed across six categories. These are divided into two main modalities: best doctoral thesis and best official master's final project. Each modality includes three categories: Social and Legal Sciences, Scientific-Technical Sciences, and Humanities. Award amounts are set at 4,000 euros for doctoral theses and 2,000 euros for master's projects. The jury may also grant non-monetary honors to finalists.

While research topics are open within the specified fields, preference will be given to studies addressing issues of particular relevance to Ibero-America. Evaluation criteria include the work's grade, theoretical and methodological framework, innovation, originality, and its scientific, social, economic, or cultural impact. The deadline for submitting candidacies is November 15.
