La RINA cafe in Kanazawa hosts monthly craft exhibitions

The cafe and restaurant La RINA, located in the Craso Place Korinbo in Kanazawa, is hosting a monthly series of art and craft exhibitions titled ‘La RINA Cafe Wall Art’. Produced by the gallery enishira, these exhibitions allow patrons to view and purchase works by local artists in a casual cafe setting.

From August 22 to September 21, 2026, the venue is hosting a solo exhibition by dyeing artist Aoi Sato titled ‘Somewhere in the ordinary’. Sato, an award-winning artist associated with the Kanazawa Utatsuyama Craft Workshop, presents works that translate fleeting daily memories and emotions into abstract textile designs.

Following this, from September 23 to October 20, 2026, lacquerware artist Sachi Kinoshita will hold an exhibition focused on natural landscapes. Kinoshita’s work utilizes techniques such as raden (mother-of-pearl inlay) and makie to capture elements like mountains, seas, and light. The cafe complements the experience by using Yamanaka lacquerware for its service.
