La Rinconada racetrack hosts 37th seasonal meeting and graded stakes

The 37th meeting of the national horse racing season at La Rinconada racetrack featured 14 races, including two major graded stakes: the Clásico Victoreado (GIII) and the Clásico Lanzarina (GII).

In the Clásico Victoreado, the two-year-old colt Kilimanjaro, trained by Germán Rojas and ridden by Winder Véliz, secured victory. This win marked Rojas's fifth career victory in this specific classic event. Other notable performances included jockey Eglinder Betancourt, who achieved his first double-win day in nearly a decade with the horses El Gran Eladio and Abuelo (USA).

Other jockeys who secured two victories during the session were Jaime Lugo Jr., riding Mahomes and King Julién, and Francisco Quevedo, riding Meheble and Employeeofthemonth. Deyker Acosta also returned to the winner's circle with a victory on Talentoso. The day's events also saw a record-breaking total amount for the 5y6 Nacional betting pool.
