La Rioja confirmed as host of Argentina's inaugural women's Newcom national tournament

The province of La Rioja has been officially designated to host the first National Women's Newcom Tournament in Argentina. The competition, organized by the Liga Nacional Independiente de Newcom, will feature selected women's teams from multiple Argentine provinces across age categories +40, +50, +60 and +68. It is expected to draw a large number of athletes, coaches and delegations, providing a boost to local tourism and commerce.

Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña will be represented by six players who have been chosen for the Chaco provincial selection. The athletes, including Nancy Malina (Atlas +50) and Kuky Vitale (Renacer +60), highlighted the sport’s health benefits and its role in fostering social connections among adult and senior participants. The tournament aims to showcase the rapid growth of Newcom, a sport that originated as a recreational activity for older adults and has become one of the fastest‑expanding disciplines in the country.
