La Rioja Government details security measures for Chachos bonds
The Government of La Rioja has released detailed security measures for the Debt Cancellation Bonds (BOCADE), popularly known as "Chachos," to facilitate authenticity verification and strengthen public confidence in their circulation.
The bonds feature high-level security elements similar to protected documents, including non-fluorescent security paper with visible and invisible fibers, an exclusive registered watermark, and a dynamic windowed metallic thread. Other features include QR codes, micro-lettering, and specialized numbering that reacts to ultraviolet light in various colors.
To prevent counterfeiting, the government advises merchants and consumers to use direct observation and ultraviolet light to check for these characteristics. Comprehensive information regarding denominations, merchant adhesion procedures, and specific security details is available on the official provincial website.
