La Rioja issues weather alerts for rain, wind, and fog

The Provincial Emergency System of La Rioja has issued a preventive alert for isolated rains, winds, and fog affecting various sectors of the province. The rain alert applies to the entire provincial territory, while wind warnings are specific to the Vinchina and General Lamadrid departments, where gusts could exceed 65 kilometers per hour in the mountain zone. These conditions are expected to persist through the night of Thursday and into the morning of Friday, October 16.

A fog alert has also been issued for several departments, including Vinchina, General Lamadrid, General Felipe Varela, Famatina, Chilecito, San Blas de los Sauces, Arauco, and Castro Barros, which may impact visibility.

In contrast to the upcoming alerts, current meteorological reports for October 14 indicate favorable conditions for agricultural activities, with temperatures ranging between 12°C and 23°C and moderate winds.
