La Rioja Legislature approves tax debt regulation regime
The Legislature of La Rioja has approved a new Special Regime for the Regulation of Provincial Tax Debt. This law is designed to assist individuals, legal entities, and merchants in regularizing their tax obligations amidst the current economic situation.
The initiative offers financing alternatives, including the potential condonation of up to 100% of interests, fines, and accessories, alongside payment plans of up to 24 installments. The regime covers debts overdue until July 31, 2026, with a deadline for adherence set for November 30, 2026. Additionally, the law includes special benefits for debts related to real estate and vehicles, as well as a 10% discount for those who remain up to date with their obligations during 2027.
In the same session, the Chamber of Deputies declared a Social and Economic Emergency regarding pledge executions in the province for a period of 180 days. The legislature also established the Provincial Electoral Regime and accepted the resignations of magistrates Javier Vallejo and Cecilia Córdoba.
