La Rioja Oriental to host European Rock Art Day

The Association for Rural Development (ADR) La Rioja Oriental will host the celebration of European Rock Art Day on Friday, October 9. The event is scheduled to take place at the Hotel Victoria in Arnedo from 10:00 to 13:00, concluding with a guided tour of the Bodegas neighborhood in Quel.

The program aims to explore the relationship between rock art, tourism, and European Cultural Routes. Official opening speeches will be delivered by representatives from the Spanish Ministry of Culture, the European Cultural Route of Prehistoric Rock Art (CARP), and the regional government of La Rioja.

Technical presentations will cover strategic tourism projects in La Rioja and the operational scope of the Council of Europe’s Cultural Routes Programme. Attendees will include local mayors and representatives from municipalities within the CARP network.
