La Rioja and UNViMe students head to National Science Fair

Students from La Rioja and San Luis are preparing to represent their provinces at the National Science, Technology, Art, and Mathematics Education Fair in San Luis.

A delegation from the Instituto Superior de Formación Docente (ISFD) Pedro Ignacio de Castro Barros will present the project “Del conocimiento al aula: Geología en clave STEAM”. This initiative, which won the provincial stage, focuses on teacher training through the study of local natural resources, specifically zeolite. The project involved field activities, sample extraction, and the development of 24 educational lessons for primary and secondary levels.

Additionally, the Universidad Nacional de Villa Mercedes (UNViMe) will participate in the national stage with the project “Enanos sobre hombros de gigantes”. Developed by the School of Social Sciences and Education, the project focuses on teacher residency as an intergenerational construction of pedagogical knowledge and was selected within the Mathematics axis.
