La Rioja implements new health, youth, and education initiatives
In La Rioja, the provincial government has launched the ‘Building Healthy Environments for Childhood’ initiative. In collaboration with the civil association ‘Súper Saludable’, the program aims to promote healthy habits in schools, families, and healthcare teams through training, education, and community participation. Key focus areas include healthy eating, physical activity, and reducing sedentary lifestyles.
Additionally, La Rioja is engaging in international cooperation with the department of Paysandú, Uruguay. Supported by the Argentine Agency for International Cooperation and Humanitarian Assistance (ACIAH) and the Uruguayan Agency for International Cooperation (AUCI), the province will exchange public policies regarding youth development. This decentralized cooperation includes a mission to Uruguay to design joint projects for young people.
In other regional developments, Banco Rioja and the Ministry of Education have introduced ‘Ideas que Valen +’, a financial education challenge for fourth-year high school students. The program encourages students to develop projects that address real financial issues within their communities.
