La Rita community launches new clinic and sports court

Community associations in La Rita and La Primavera, located in Pococí, have finalized the delivery of a new multi-use sports court and the equipping of the Santa Rita Clinic. The projects represent a joint investment of approximately ₡151.5 million, funded by the National Directorate for Community Development (Dinadeco) and local Integral Development Associations (ADI).

The multi-use sports court in the La Primavera Community Sports Center was constructed with roughly ₡92 million from Dinadeco and nearly ₡30 million from the local ADI. The facility is designed for football, volleyball, and cultural events, providing local residents with a venue that prevents the need to travel 10 kilometers for similar amenities.

Additionally, the Santa Rita Clinic has been launched to serve an estimated population of 11,275 people. Dinadeco provided nearly ₡30 million for medical equipment, furniture, and technology. The clinic aims to complement existing public health services (EBAIS) by offering general medical consultations, laboratory tests, electrocardiograms, and ultrasounds at accessible rates. The revenue generated from these services is intended to fund the clinic's maintenance and long-term continuity.
