La Réserve Firenze to open boutique luxury hotel in Florence

La Réserve Firenze is set to open on October 16 in a 15th-century palazzo located in the Santo Spirito district of Florence, Italy. The property, which serves as the first Italian location for the luxury group La Réserve Hotels & Private Homes, features only six distinct apartments ranging from one to three bedrooms.

Moving away from traditional large-scale luxury hotel amenities like massive spas or buffet breakfasts, the establishment focuses on a model of intimacy and discretion. Co-owner Grégory Marciano describes this approach as a trend where “intimacy becomes a new form of luxury,” aiming to provide the service of a hotel without the feeling of being in one. The design was a collaboration with the Paris-based duo Gilles & Boissier.

This boutique model, characterized by a very limited number of rooms, reflects a broader shift in premium tourism. As travelers seek alternatives to overtourism and large resorts, there is a growing demand for properties that function more like private luxury villas, offering personalized service and increased privacy.
