La Sal de la Tierra Film Festival concludes in Samara
The ‘La Sal de la Tierra’ International Film Festival in Samara, Russia, has concluded its latest edition, featuring productions from India, Brazil, China, Iran, and Venezuela. The festival received approximately 500 applications, highlighting its growth as a significant documentary film event.
Katrina Romanova won the festival's Grand Prize for her film ‘Donde viven las golondrinas’. Other major awards included the regional governor's prize, awarded to Uliana Guerásimova for ‘Dirección de retorno: El sargento’, and the local mayor's prize, given to Inga Penner for ‘Grigori Aksakov. Un romántico al servicio del Estado’.
As an international organizational partner, TVBrics hosted special screenings of films from its partner nations. Featured works included Venezuela's ‘Día de Muertos. Celebración, cultura y tradición’ from teleSUR, alongside various productions from India, Brazil, and China.
