La Saulaie selected as Olympic Village site for Alpes 2030
The organizing committee for the Alpes 2030 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games has selected the La Saulaie district in Oullins-Pierre-Bénite to host the Olympic Village. The site will accommodate approximately 1,650 athletes and their support staff during the games in February and March 2030.
The 28,000-square-meter village will feature a central hub including an Athletes' Plaza and an 1,800-square-meter dining hall. The complex will consist of fifteen buildings providing housing, offices, and essential services such as a medical center and concierge.
Developed by the Sogeprom-Demathieu Bard Immobilier group, the project is designed with a long-term legacy in mind. Following the games, the site will be converted into a mixed-use urban area containing permanent housing, offices, and shops, with the transition to residents expected within nine months of the event's conclusion.
