La Sella Open begins fourth edition in Dénia

The fourth edition of the La Sella Open, a Ladies European Tour (LET) event, has commenced at La Sella Golf in Dénia, Spain. The tournament runs from September 17 to September 20.

The opening ceremony featured a tribute to Spanish golf legend Carmen Alonso and a special recognition for defending champion Anna Huang, who is unable to attend this year due to health reasons. To honor Huang, the welcome dinner menu was selected by her.

Carlos García, President of La Sella Golf, highlighted the tournament's unique philosophy, which focuses on the players by omitting Pro-Am events, providing financial support to those who miss the cut, and prohibiting commercial advertising along the course. Luis Cervera, Director General of Sport, noted the event's role in promoting the Valencian Community and its growing status within the international women's golf circuit.
